Councilmember Olson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #25-179 <br />RESOLUTION TO AMEND JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH NORTH METRO <br />MAYORS ASSOCIATION <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of the Joint Powers Agreement of the North Metro Mayors <br />Association ("JPA") is to establish an organization to promote transportation and economic <br />development projects and to assist in conducting government functions effectively and efficiently <br />in the member communities of the northern metropolitan area; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is a member of the North Metro Mayors Association <br />("NMMA"); and <br />WHEREAS, the NMMA has determined that it is in the best interest of the public to amend <br />the JPA to allow the City of Crystal as a member; and <br />WHEREAS, The Ramsey City Council deems that it is in the best interest to approve such <br />changes. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the second amended changes to the Joint <br />Powers Agreement with the North Metro Mayors Association to allow membership of the <br />City of Crystal. <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Specht, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Heineman <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councilmember Specht <br />Councilmember Buscher <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember Stewart <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />
