With no response to the second call, an alert is issued and a sheriffs Spring! :~[:: deputy is dispatched to see if the person is in need of assistance. ::::: In Mid-March, the "Are You Okay?" program came to the aid of an Anoka ::~:j County resident who apparently had suffered an epileptic seizure. When there :1 was no response to the program's phone calIs, authorities were dispatched to the :::~: participant's house where offIcers found the person on the floor. The resident was ::::[ taken by ambulance to the hospital and is doing well. :::[[ The "Are You Okay?" program is an invaluable aid to seniors and the ::::: homebound in their effort to remain in their own homes and live independently. ::~j: Knowing they will be called each day adds to the sense of well-being and security {: of the people enrolled in the program. t: As part of the program, participants can provide information about their ::::: medical condition, next of kin, emergency contacts, and physical limitations.
