<br />12 <br /> <br /> <br />A BIG BIKE ROAD-EO <br />THANKS TO SOME <br />VERY SPECIAL PEOPLE <br /> <br /> <br />The Sixth Annual Becky Weiss Memorial Bike Road-eo was a big success with 400 children participating and more parents observing. <br />It was wonderful to see so many people taking part in a very special and important event. created to educate children on bicycle safety. <br />Under bright sunny skies, children participated in the road-eo by receiving aT-shirt. a thorough bicycle inspection and tune-up, a safety <br />lecture, a safety obstacle course,lunch, an Anoka Police canine demonstration, information on the dangers of electricity/power lines, the <br />importance of wearing a helmet. water safety and a chance to win many prizes which included 12 bicycles and tickets to a Twins game <br />complete with limousine service. <br />An event like this cannot be held without the help of many volunteers and businesses contributing their talents, financial support, and <br />prize donations. A SPECIAL THANKS to the Ramsey Lions Club, Rich and Troy Wolens of Pioneer Schwinn, Anoka Police Sgt.
