37 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Metropolitan Council Submission <br />Affordable Housing Allocation <br />The City participates in the Livable Communities Program of the Metropolitan Council, which <br />provides access to a number of funding opportunities. As part of said participation, the City plans <br />for an allocation of affordable housing. The City has confirmed that the Future Land Use Map/Plan <br />is acceptable for anticipated affordable housing need. The master plan outlines specific subdistricts for low, medium, and <br />high density areas. <br />The City is committed to achieving an average net density of 10 dwelling units/acre within the COR, <br />mixed use land use designation. The City will monitor and achieve the 10 dwelling units/acre <br />through plat monitoring. <br />Residential development within ½ mile of the Northstar Commuter Rail Station that is guided as <br />Mixed Use will be developed at a net minimum density of 15 units per acre. The City will track the <br />15 dwelling units/acre minimum through plat monitoring. <br /> <br />
