6. 2. <br />CC Regular Session <br />Meeting Date: <br />09/09/2025 <br />Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Promote economic growth and development. <br />Title: <br />PUBLIC HEARING: Adopt Resolution #25-201 Vacating an Easement in Haubrich Addition. <br />Purpose/Background: <br />This hearing is related to the plat application for Brookside Terrace. When the Haubrich Addition was platted in <br />1990, municipal utilities were not available to the site, though they were anticipated within a few years. With <br />that, the area relied on a natural swale to handle storm water runoff. This area was covered by a drainage <br />easement. In 1995, sanitary sewer, water, and storm sewer were installed under 151st Lane and this swale was <br />no longer needed for drainage, and therefore, the platted easement. The proposed plat of Brookside Terrace will <br />include work to create a storm water basin and swale to accommodate any additional storm water from the new <br />lots and new easements will be dedicated accordingly. <br />Notification: <br />Staff notified all of the private utility companies and some provided notice that they have facilities along 151 st <br />Lane in the area that will be re -dedicated with the plat of Brookside Terrace. A "proposed development" sign was <br />placed on the property. A legal notice was placed in the Anoka Union Herald newspaper.
