Councilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #06-07-236 RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR PROJECT 04- BLDG-0005 SALT SAND STORAGE BUILDING AT THE PUBLIC WORKS CAMPUS WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #05-12-418 on December 13, 2005 adopting the City of Ramsey's 2006-2010 Capital Improvement Program with a project entitled "Project 04-BLDG-0005" authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of a 70' x 100' clear span, truss arch-fabric covered steel framed building to be used for salt storage, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on July 20th, 2006; and WHEREAS, the following bids were received for the Salt Sand Storage Building: Bidder Amount of Bid Greystone Construction $133,0000.00 AND WHEREAS, Greystone Construction is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Greystone Construction in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of the salt sand storage building in the amount of $133,000.00. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Elvig Councilmember Jeffrey Councilmember Cook Councilmember Olson Councilmember Pearson Councilmember Strommen and the following voted against the same: none RESOLUTION #06-07-236 Page lof 2
