<br />Councilmember Strommen indicated this development is moving in the right direction, but she <br />would like to review the information on the whole stretch of CR 5 she has referred to. <br />Councilmember Elvig indicated he supported this approval due to the controls included in the <br />motion. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon suggested Case No.9 with the rezoning action be <br />tabled due to the southern portion of this plat that will change. The rezoning can be brought <br />back at a future meeting or at final plat approval, and it will not delay the development. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec directed staff to discuss with the school district the plan for an extra lane in front <br />of the school. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig indicated he serves on a site Council. They recently reviewed the parking <br />lot and it was determined the lot is not as bad as many of the other schools and it passes, so he <br />doubts there are any plans for this. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to table the request to <br />rezone property from R-l Single Family Residential to Planned Unit Development; Case ofMN <br />Skyline Partners, LLC. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Strommen, Elvig, Jeffrey, <br />Olson, and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The meeting was recessed at 9:40 and reconvened at 9:48 p.m. <br /> <br />Case #11: <br /> <br />Request for Comprehensive Plan Amendment; Case of DPM Investments, <br />Inc. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Geisler indicated Case Nos. 11, 12 and 13 are related and will be discussed <br />together. Ms. Geisler stated DPM Investments has submitted an application for an amendment to <br />the 2001 Comprehensive Plan. The request is to change the land use designation from Places to <br />Shop to Medium Density Residential on the property located on the east side of Ebony Street, <br />just south of the Super Bowl. DPM Investments is proposing to develop the site with 2 <br />twinhome (3 two-unit buildings), which would require a land use change from Places to Shop to <br />Medium Density Residential. A rezoning request, preliminary site plan, and preliminary plat are <br />also before the City Council for consideration. Ms. Geisler explained the subject property is <br />bordered on the north by the Superbowl building, on the west by mini-storage units and single- <br />family homes, on the south by a vacant single-family lot, and on the east by single-family homes. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Geisler reviewed that on April 26, 2005, the Council adopted an Interim <br />Policy for proposed land use changes that are requested prior to the completion of the <br />Comprehensive Plan update. Ms. Geisler provided the following overview of the criteria to be <br />used when determining the suitability of a Comprehensive Plan Amendment: <br /> <br />1.
