CITIZEN INPUT

Greg Bolier, 16000 St. Francis Boulevard, stated the City is in the process of working on the
road in front of his property. Mr. Bolier stated he has lost approximately 20 inches of elevation
in front of his property due to this work, which has impacted his driveway with a severe steep
grade. He has five trailers he uses for different things, and there is no way he can back his
trailers up that grade. He would like someone to look at what could be done so he does not have
this type of impact on his property.

Councilmember Elvig stated he had talked with Mr. Bolier and with Brian Olson. Mr. Bolier is
right that this project has shortened the driveway and made a considerable ramping of the front
end of his driveway. He requested Mr. Olson provide information regarding the project.

Public Works Director Olson eXplained the amount of driveway removed was just what was
needed to get the road in. There are steep ramps, and staff had all intentions on taking that back
another 15 feet to make it more gradual.

Mr. Bolier stated his other question is why so much material was taken out in the first place, as
there was not really a drainage issue. Now he will be impacted and they will probably have to
come further in and re-Iandscape his yard. If staff would have talked to him he could have told
them this would be a problem.

Public Works Director Olson explained the intention was not to have a ditch section and to have
the yards drain into the road.

Mr. Bolier indicated he would like to speak with Mr. Olson further on the phone regarding this
issue.

APPROVE AGENDA

Mayor Gamec indicated the Consent Agenda has been amended to include the approval of rental
licenses.

City Administrator Norman indicated Mayor/Council/Staff Input will include information on the
Ramsey Commuter Bus Service Open House event on November 2nd.

Motion by Councilmember Olson, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to approve the agenda as
amended.

Motion carried. V oting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Olson, Cook, Elvig, Jeffrey,
Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None.

City Council / September 26, 2006
