<br />Ramsey Express Commuter Coach. The open house will be held the same time as the NCDA <br />meeting scheduled at the new City Hall facility. Mr. Jim Deal has indicated he would match the <br />City's funding for the open house in the amount of $10,000. Mr. Norman requested Council <br />authorization for the open house in the amount of $1 0,000 as discussed during the work session. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to authorize the use of <br />marketing services from Goeff & Howard for purposes of promotion and marketing of an open <br />house event to be held on November 2, 2006 to promote the new express commuter bus service <br />for an amount not to exceed $10,000. Funding would come from the Council Contingency Fund. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Olson, Elvig, Jeffrey, <br />Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Elvig stated it is very important for the residents to <br />understand Ramsey will have bus service on the road; the marketing for this is extremely <br />important. <br /> <br />2) Taste of the Community <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec announced Youth First has asked if the City would be willing to purchase tickets <br />for the Taste of the Community event. The cost is $250 with the proceeds supporting Youth <br />First. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to authorize the <br />expenditure of$250 to purchase tickets for Taste of the Community. <br /> <br />Motion carried. V oting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Elvig, Pearson, Cook, Jeffrey, <br />Olson, and Strommen.
