Ramsey Express Commuter Coach. The open house will be held the same time as the NCDA meeting scheduled at the new City Hall facility. Mr. Jim Deal has indicated he would match the City's funding for the open house in the amount of $10,000. Mr. Norman requested Council authorization for the open house in the amount of $1 0,000 as discussed during the work session. Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to authorize the use of marketing services from Goeff & Howard for purposes of promotion and marketing of an open house event to be held on November 2, 2006 to promote the new express commuter bus service for an amount not to exceed $10,000. Funding would come from the Council Contingency Fund. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Olson, Elvig, Jeffrey, Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. Further discussion: Councilmember Elvig stated it is very important for the residents to understand Ramsey will have bus service on the road; the marketing for this is extremely important. 2) Taste of the Community Mayor Gamec announced Youth First has asked if the City would be willing to purchase tickets for the Taste of the Community event. The cost is $250 with the proceeds supporting Youth First. Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to authorize the expenditure of$250 to purchase tickets for Taste of the Community. Motion carried. V oting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Elvig, Pearson, Cook, Jeffrey, Olson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. ADJOURNMENT Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
