OLD BUSINESS

Wetlands Study Update

Environmental Specialist Bacon stated that Coordinator Anderson asked him to mention
to all EPB members that the Wetland Study is completed. He has asked Ron Peterson to
come to the December meeting to present his findings.

Natural Resources Inventory Update

Environmental Specialist Bacon stated that the proposal was taken to the City Council.
Environmental Specialist Bacon stated the City Council authorized Staff to work on an
RFP for a Natural Resources Inventory.

Acting Chairperson Max asked if the Natural Resources Inventory would be done as a
sample.

Environmental Specialist Bacon stated there won't be enough money to do a complete
inventory .

Acting Chairperson Max stated he would be interested in seeing the natural areas that are
undisturbed in the study.

Acting Chairperson Max tabled Case #1 since Board Member Hustveldt, Jr. was not
present at the meeting.

Environmental Specialist Bacon stated that he asked Patrick Trudgeon what should be
done if a wetland buffer has been destroyed. He stated they should call Steve Jankowski
at City Hall.

Board Member Sibilski noted concern that his pond hasn't come back because he was
told the rest of the wetland had six months to reclaim itself. He stated that has not
happened yet.

NEW BUSINESS

Board Member Sibilski stated that next year's goals should be discussed earlier than last
year. He suggested a new agenda item for next month's meeting to add a 2007 goal for
discussing the Andover, Plymouth, and Washington County ballot items. He suggested
asking the City Council to follow suit with Ramsey's own ballot question to vote for
parks and natural resources, and preservation of more open space in Ramsey.

Acting Chairperson Max concurred that the time to vote for a parks and natural resources
and open space ballot question is before every acre becomes too expensive.

Environmental Policy Board/ November 6, 2006
Page 11 of 12
