CASE # 4

2006/2007 Work Plan
By: Chris Anderson, Zoning & Recycling Coordinator

Background:

At the November EPB meeting, there was a request to review the work plan and consider an
additional topic/issue regarding a potential referendum question concerning the preservation of
natural resources and open space. The work plan that was adopted in May of this year was a
two-year plan, covering both 2006 and 2007 (and is included as Exhibit 2). However, a review
of this work plan, and a discussion concerning any possible additions, is not only appropriate but
timely as well. Staff has included a copy of the 2006/2007 work plan with edits to indicate
issues/goals that have been completed and those that are being undertaken currently.

Recommendation

Staff would recommend reviewing the work plan and, at the next meeting, entertain any
discussion regarding potential additions. Based on that discussion, the Board can provide Staff
some direction as far as which subj ects should be focused on in the early part of 2007.

EPB Action

Based on discussion.

EPB: 12/4/06
