<br />Environmental Specialist Bacon suggested that if it was a nice day, the Expo could be <br />held outside. <br /> <br />Board Member Freeburg asked what the vendors might think about changing the venue. <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon stated the vendors would be content to move because the <br />draw for participating is to have it in a place where attendance is high. <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Max stated the parking ramp would provide excellent cover. <br /> <br />Board Member aIds stated that space availability would be more abundant at the parking <br />ramp than at the school. <br /> <br />Board Member Bentz suggested bringing in auxiliary lighting. <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon stated the entire center ring of the bus turn-around area <br />at the school has always been reserved for vendors but never filled. He stated there have <br />been some vendors who dropped out for various reasons. He stated others have been <br />pleased and happy with the location. <br /> <br />Board Member Olds mentioned that the close proximity to Highway 10 may be a draw <br />for others who would not otherwise attend. <br /> <br />Board Member Bentz suggested a billboard for advertisement. <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Max stated that rooms inside city hall could be used for seminars. <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon stated there could still be a calendar competition and <br />children's programs inside city hall. <br /> <br />Board Member Bentz asked how many large meeting rooms were available at city hall <br />and whether it needed to be reserved. <br /> <br />Board Member Sibilski asked ifthere would be enough room inside for booths and <br />vendors. <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon stated that might be a problem in city hall. <br /> <br />Council Member Strommen suggested that the big training room, entryway, and hallway <br />would be a good configuration for setting up booths <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon asked if animals would be allowed inside the city hall. <br />He suggested having the Expo partly indoors and partly outdoors. <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Max stated that wind might be a problem for outdoor informational <br />sessions with posters and handouts. <br /> <br />Environmental Policy Board/ November 6, 2006 <br />Page 3 of 12 <br />
