The attached finance report (exhibit A) shows this breakdown. Staff is unable to <br />further delineate a distinction between different types of residential classifications and differences <br />between commercial and industrial without a more comprehensive study. See exhibits A & B. <br />Of the commercial /industrial classification, approximately one -half is assigned to a TIF district. See <br />exhibit C2. Eleven percent (11%) of the total tax capacity of the City is assigned to a TIF district, while <br />the remaining 12.1% is returned to the City in the form of tax revenue. <br />3) What portion of your total industrial, commercial, and retail area is covered by TIF <br />districts? When do these TIF districts mature? <br />As was discussed in Question #2, approximately one -half of the total tax capacity in the commercial and <br />industrial classification is assigned to TIF districts. There are six active districts that have staggered <br />maturing dates and are described in the attached TIF document. See exhibits C1 & D. <br />
