<br />Residential District Summaries <br /> <br /> <br />There are currently 5 zoning districts in Ramsey that regulate residential uSes. They include 1 rural and 4 urban districts. El!ch <br />district has its own set of standards to control housing types, density, aesthetics, and other property use issues. As proposed, the <br />Zoning Code would consolidate the residential.districts from 5 to 3 based on housing types, availablility of City sewer and water, and <br />density. <br /> <br />E:xcerpts from the Proposed Residential Districts <br />R-I District Intent. The.intent ofthis district is to accommodate single family dwelling units on suitable land in the 2020 Metropoli- <br />tan Urban Service Area (MUSA),rural developing, central rural planning area, and rural preserve areas of the City of Ramsey. All <br />developing properties locatedwithinthe 2020 MUSA shall he serviced by sanitary sewer and municipal water. All developing <br />properties locatedwithinthe. rural preserve, rural developing and central rural planning areas shall be served with on-site septic and <br />well. <br /> <br />R-2 District Intent. The intent of this district is to accommodate multiple dwellings at a density of three to seven dwelling units per <br />acre and multipledweUing complexes within the 2020 MUSA. All properties located within the 2020 MUSA shall be serviced by <br />sanitary sewer and municipal water. <br /> <br />R-3 District Intent.
