<br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />Topic Report: 2007 - 2011 Capital <br />Improvement Program <br />By: Diana Lund, Finance Officer & <br />James E. Norman, City Administrator <br />Background: <br />The 2007 - 2011 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) has been prepared as a strategic planning <br />tool to assist the City Council in identifying proposed capital improvement projects over the next <br />five years. The CIP is broken down into the following categories: equipment Replacement, <br />Municipal Buildings, Park Improvements, Sewer Improvements, Site Acquisitions, Storm Water <br />Improvements, Street Improvements, Street Light Improvements, and Water Improvements. <br />Each project includes preliminary financing sources and appropriate background information <br />citing needs and projected cost estimates. <br />The 2007 - 2011 CIP was distributed prior to the work session of December 4. Attached to the <br />Topic Report is a `red-lined' version of the CIP table of contents that shows projects completed <br />and projects that are new to the CIP. <br />Action Statement: <br />Review and discuss 2007 - 2011 Capital Improvement Program. <br />Reviewed by: <br />Finance Officer <br />City Administrator <br />CCWS: 12/12/06 <br /> <br />
