•
December 4, 2006
Dear Mayor Thomas Gamec and Ramsey City Council Members: -
Effective immediately, I am resigning from the Ramsey Environmental Policy Board
because I am not able to dedicate the time and energy such a position deserves. I believe
that this committee is filled with incredible members and have been honored to serve
with them. Unfortunately, there are too many other commitments on my plate at this
time.
I have been proud of the work of the EPB during my short tenure, though my lack of
ability to complete the Wetland Guidebook is indicative of my lack of time. The simple
fact that I have missed numerous meetings over the months is also a reason for my
resignation. I believe, as all of you do as well, that citizen members should make all the
meetings. I do not feel that I am serving the city as well as the position requires. It's a
matter of priorities and right now I have too many in addition to the EPB to be the high-
quality Board member that I would like to be. I am submitting the work I have done to
date to Chris Anderson and hope that the remaining EPB members can complete the work
in a timely manner.
Resp ctfWly Sub}nitted,
Ron Hustvedt Jr.
cc: Chris Anderson and EPB Members
—159—
