<br />10. That the principal building on the Subject Property is a rambler with an approximate height <br />of fifteen (15) feet. <br /> <br />11. That the Applicant has stated that they will have multiple 4-post hoists in the building to <br />assist with additional storage space for their vehicles and equipment. <br /> <br />12. That the Applicant has stated that one of their mudding trucks is nine feet eight inches tall <br />(9’ 8”) and is stored on a gooseneck trailer, which, combined, requires a sixteen (16) foot <br />tall ceiling. <br /> <br />13. That the Subject Property has a significant grade change of approximately eighteen feet <br />(18’) from the front yard to the rear yard. <br /> <br />14. That the Applicant previously had Connexus Energy bury the line that provided power to <br />the former detached garage and has proposed rebuilding in the same location to capitalize <br />on power already being available. <br /> <br />15. That on October 24, 2024, the Ramsey Planning Commission held a Public Hearing and <br />adopted Resolution #24-284, granting a variance to height standards for a detached <br />accessory building. <br /> <br />16. That on September 30, 2025, the City received a written request from the Applicant seeking <br />to extend the deadline in Resolution #24-284 from October 24, 2025 to October 14, 2026. <br /> <br />17. That the Applicant has stated that both an injury and a death in the family have delayed <br />them from obtaining a building permit for the detached accessory building before <br />Resolution #24-284 becomes null and void. <br /> <br />FINDINGS OF FACT <br /> <br />1. That the Detached Accessory Building Height will not impair an adequate supply of light <br />and air to adjacent property. <br /> <br />2. That the Detached Accessory Building Height will not unreasonably increase the <br />congestion on the public street. <br /> <br />3. That the Detached Accessory Building Height will not have the effect of allowing any use <br />prohibited in the Rural Residential District. <br /> <br />4. That the Detached Accessory Building Height will not permit a lesser degree of public <br />health, safety, and general welfare protection than established by Chapters 106 and 117 of <br />the Ramsey City Code, or permit standards which are lower than those required by state <br />law. <br /> <br /> <br />Resolution #25-238 <br />Page 2 of 6 <br /> <br />
