6. 1. <br />Park and Recreation Commission <br />Meeting Date: 11/13/2025 <br />Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Connect the community through Parks, Trails and Recreational Programming. <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Recreation Program Update <br />Purpose/Background: <br />Parks and Recreation has closed out most of our fall programming —highlighted by the second annual Pumpkin <br />Chuck, a fall Puzzle Competition, and a 55+ Day Trip: Saint Paul Tales of Haunting Tour —and we're not <br />slowing down! With the holidays upon us, get ready for winter with programs like the 55+ Day Trip: White <br />Christmas at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres (nearly sold out!), the Deck the House Lights Contest, and our annual <br />Tree Lighting Event. <br />Use the links below to explore additional offerings: <br />• View our full current program listings on our registration page here. <br />• Learn more about parks, rentals, and general Parks and Recreation information here. <br />Upcoming Programs: <br />55+ Day Trip: White Christmas at Chanhassen <br />Feel the holiday spirit with a trip to the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, the national's largest professional dinner <br />theatre, to enjoy lunch and experience the magic of Irving Berlin's White Christmas — the musical! <br />• Date: Wednesday, December 10 from 10:15 a.m. — 4:45 p.m., meeting at Ramsey City Hall <br />• Cost: $114/person (includes theatre tickets, lunch, and round trip transportation on a coach bus) <br />• Registration: Pre -register by Monday, November 10 at midnight or until full; no cancellations accepted <br />after November 10. <br />• FOUR SPOTS REMAIN as of Novernber 7th, 2025 <br />• Ages: 55+ <br />Tree Lighting <br />All are invited for Ramsey's annual Community Tree Lighting event! The tree will be lit at 6 p.m. and PACT <br />Charter Choir will be singing holiday favorites from 5:45 — 7:30 p.m. Join us inside City Hall from 6 — 8 p.m. for <br />cookies, cocoa, photos with Santa and more! <br />• Dates: Tuesday, December 2, from 6:00 — 8:00 p.m. at Ramsey City Hall <br />• Cost: FREE <br />Deck the House <br />The Holiday Lights Contest is back! Show your holiday spirit with some neighborly competition! Details for <br />registration will be available in the coming weeks. <br />• Dates: Contest will run December 2-21 with winners announced the week of December 28. <br />• Registration: Those who want to compete should enter by midnight on Sunday, November 29. More <br />information coming soon. <br />
