family member may be taken from employees earned sick and safe time accrual as <br />available and as defined under Minnesota Statute § § 181.9445, as amended. This leave <br />shall be deducted from employees earned sick and safe accrual. <br />If the need for funeral leave does not meet either the employer's funeral leave policy or <br />state statute for earned sick and safe time, employees may request vacation or <br />compensatory time off as the employee may choose and have available. <br />All references to the post -employment healthcare savings plan are contingent upon the <br />plan design in place at the time of disbursement. <br />6.3 Holidays <br />The City of Ramsey recognizes thirteen (13) holidays for non -union employees. Regular <br />employees are eligible for holiday pay, provided they work the day preceding and the day <br />following the holiday (unless the days off were previously approved by the supervisor). Regular <br />employees scheduled to work the holiday will receive another day off with pay. <br />Paid holidays include: <br />1. New Year's Day <br />2. Martin L King Day <br />3. President's Day <br />4. Memorial Day <br />5. Juneteenth <br />6. Independence Day <br />7. Labor Day <br />8. Veteran's Day <br />9. Thanksgiving Day <br />10. The City shall be closed for business on these holidays, though employees may be <br />required to work due to the nature of their duties or other conditions. <br />Regular part-time employees are eligible for paid holidays in proportion of what full-time <br />employees earn, based on the hours worked during the pay period in which the holiday occurs. If <br />a holiday falls on a non-scheduled workday for a part-time employee, the employee must take <br />the paid holiday within the same period. <br />Employees may be required to work on paid holidays when the nature of their duties or other <br />conditions require them to do so.
