Title: Adopt Resolution No. 25-283 Approving Purchase of Vertical Man -Lift for Water Treatment Plant Purpose/Background: Purpose: The purpose of this case is to adopt Resolution No. 25-283 approving the purchase of a Skyjack SJ16E vertical mast lift for the Water Treatment Plant. Background: Purchasing a Skyjack SJ16E vertical mast lift will allow city staff to more efficiently and safely maintain and operate the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) by eliminating the need to store, move, climb, hold and work from extension -ladders when completing work in the pipe gallery at heights of 20-feet or more above the floor. Such work will include calibrating meters, operating and maintaining valves and chemical feed system components, and performing general maintenance duties including cleaning, painting, repairing and/or replacing fans, light fixtures, pipes, platforms, stairways and walls. Attached is a two -page cut -sheet with a picture of the vertical mast lift and various specifications for the lift. This lift will be strictly dedicated for use within the WTP. Staff solicited and received quotes for a Skyjack SJ16E vertical mast lift from two (2) vendors as follows; Contractor Total Quote Central Equipment Sales 1 $14,900.00 APi Supply Lifts 1 $15,500.00 The lowest responsible quote in the amount of $14,900 was received from Central Equipment Sales of Sauk Centre, Minnesota. Time Frame/Observations/Alternatives: Both quotes include free delivery and a 2-year warranty. Funding Source: Water enterprise funds are proposed to pay for this lift. Recommendation: Staff recommends adopting Resolution #25-283. Outcome/Action: Adopt Resolution No. 25-283 approving the purchase of a Skyjack SJ16E vertical mast lift for the Water Treatment Plant from Central Equipment Sales, Sauk Centre, Minnesota, in the amount of $14,900.
