City of Ramsey Attn: Chief Brad Bluml & Council Members Thank you for sending us the Request for Proposal for towing. We always appreciate the opportunity to provide services for your city and are excited to be celebrating 50 years in business this year and providing towing services for the City of Ramsey many of those years. We do meet the requirements as far as having the equipment necessary for towing all types of vehicles including rec vehicles that you have referenced. We have attached a list of our equipment. We also meet your storage requirements here at North Star located at 833 North St. Anoka, MN 55303 and have a monitored lot. We follow our guidelines as far as making sure our vehicles follow DOT guidelines and that our staff check the trucks daily for equipment that is needed. We meet your requirements as far as location, not only during business hours, but we do keep an on -call driver in your required radius non- business hours. We keep records of all vehicles in multiple places that staff have access to 24/7. As far as your current terms we have a few requests if possible. I noted the areas below, Number 8 and the paragraph following 12. It would be helpful to have a tow sheet for every vehicle that is brought back to our lot as it helps in having a registered owner on file and assists in notification. It will also be less confusing for our staff as our policy has been that anything without a tow sheet is considered a private tow and receives our standard rates. We still run that way with the four other agencies that we provide services for in the area. 9. Our hours of operation are Monday -Friday 8am-5pm. Saturdays and Sundays 11 am- 2pm. And holidays 11 am-12pm. 11. We charge clean-up fees and have outlined them in our pricing. To keep our employees on the same page we are following suit to what our current rates are for all departments. Our clean up is a minimum as we do generally end up having to use floor dry to clean up liquids. Our Eval criteria/pricing is attached. Thank you for your consideration.
