<br />proposed signs is to highlight the tenants of the site for Highway 10 traffic artd to. help identify <br />the Town Center site in general. The proposed free standing ground sign would have a tot~l sign <br />area of253 square feet per sign face and the monument sign would have a total of fifty-four ($4) <br />square feet per sign face. <br /> <br />City Staff recommends approval of the request to exceed the sign size restrictions and for <br />multiple ground signs on a single parcel contingent upon receiving a written agreement from <br />Sophia-Ramsey LLC regarding relocation ofthe signs. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />Ms. Ann Knuth, representative of Sophia Ramsey, LLC, stated they are looking for more signage <br />to promote Ramsey Town Center and to help their tenants with exposure to Highway 10 in <br />particular. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Frolik stated the proposed locations for the two <br />signs are the southwest and southeast comers of the property. There is a drainage and utility <br />easement as well as a Connexus Energy easement across both proposed sign locations. S*ffhas <br />informed the applicant that to erect signs within this easement area wbul<i require a written <br />agreement acknowledging that it would be the property owner's responsibility to relocate the <br />sign(s) if authorized work necessitated it. Staff is also working with Connexus Energy to <br />coordinate exact locations to ensure that there would not be any conflict with utilitiesancllor <br />future expansion of utilities. <br /> <br />Commissioner Trites Rolle inquired about the applicant's reaction to the easement agreement, <br />and whether Connexus Energy has responded regarding the agreement. <br /> <br />Ms. Knuth replied Sophia Ramsey, LLC is willing to work with the City regarding the <br />agreement. <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy inquired about the status of the Town Center Advisory Committee. <br /> <br />Ms. Knuth indicated there is an informal Town Center group compr:ise!i of the owPer~ of <br />residential and retail portions of Town Center. The signage plan has been shown to th~gtqup <br />and they were pleased with the way it promotes Town Center. Community Development <br />Director Trudgeon and the Ramsey Technical Advisory Committee have reviewed the signage <br />plan as well. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Van Scoy, seconded by Commissioner Trites Rone, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Acting Chairperson Levine, Commissioners Van Scoy, Trites <br />Rolle, Brauer, and Hunt. Voting No: None.
