<br />The commissioners thanked Councilmember Pearson for his service to the Commission. <br /> <br />Case #6: <br /> <br />Zoning Bulletin <br /> <br />The Zoning Bulleting was noted. <br /> <br />OTHER COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />1) Discussion Item: Kings Island Townhomes <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Frolik reviewed that Archie Zahler has submitte<;i a <br />sketch plan to develop detached townhomes on the property located at the ~nd ofRivlyn Avelfue <br />between Highway 10 and the Mississippi River. The Planning Commission reviewed the sketch <br />plan at their August 3, 2006 meeting. The City Council has reviewed thy sketch plan at work <br />session twice. Council directed the applicant to remove the connection of Riv1yn Avenue to <br />Highway 10, and explore options for providing open space along the river frontage. The DNR <br />requested the units be pulled away from the back water. Several changes have been made to ~e <br />plan; the revised plan is included in the Commission's packet. Ms. Frolik indicated the revised <br />sketch plan shows 14 detached townhomes (eliminating the 1 single family lot) on a cul-de...sac. <br /> <br />Commissioner VanScoy asked who will retain ownership of the outlot in the large open area. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Frolik replied the ownership would be up, to ithe <br />developer; it could be private or public. <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy asked if the City has a definition in place yet for detached townhomes. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Frolik responded in the affirmative. <br /> <br />2) Commission Input <br /> <br />Commissioner Brauer indicated the January Planning Commission meeting will include <br />information regarding the Ramsey3 Project. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Hunt, seconded by Commissioner VanScoy, to, adjourn'the meetin,g. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Acting Chairperson Levine, Commission~rsHunt, Van Sqoy, <br />Brauer, and Trites Rolle. Voting No: None.
