Project Name Peltzer Park Connections Category Park Improvement Priority nla Description -I Total Project Cost $25,000 Extending the access trail to the play equipment - around the cui de sac easterly to right-of-way on 148th lane. The second connection, further to the east, would require acquisition of part ofthe lot presently managed by MPCA. This would allow for street, and/or trail connections from 148th to the cui de sac of Garnet Street. Justification I Two important trail opportunities exist relative to Peltzer Park. The first is immediately available, and consists of extending the access trail to the play equipment - around the cui de sac easterly to right-of-way on 148th lane. This provides residents of Regency Ponds more of a direct access to the park. The second connection, further to the east, would require acquisition of part ofthe lot presently managed by MPCA. This would allow for street, and/or trail connections from 148th to the cui de sac of Garnet Street, and thereby improve access to both Peltzer and Alpine Parks - as well as provide a circuitous walking loop within these neighborhoods. (See also Savanna Trail bridge.) Modest signage and improved landscape at Peltzer would be a benefit as well.
