Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #26-005 RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO NORTH VALLEY, INC. FOR 2025 NEIGHBORHOOD PAVEMENT OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #25-07 WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to overlay the pavement on numerous street segments in 2025 as identified within the 2025 — 2034 Capital Improvement Plan; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-295, adopted October 22, 2024, the City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Hakanson Anderson for topographic survey of the project area in the amount of $5,900.00; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-342, adopted November 26, 2024, the City Council ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for 2025 Neighborhood Pavement Overlay Improvements, Improvement Project #25-07; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #25-080, adopted April 22, 2025, the City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer and authorized advertisement for bids for the same improvements; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #25-104, adopted May 27, 2025, a contract was awarded to North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota, in the amount of $1,198,056.75 for said improvements; and WHEREAS, as of January 13, 2026 $1,301,741.80 has been paid to date; and WHEREAS, the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and recommends final payment to North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota, for improvement project #25- 07, 2025 Neighborhood Pavement Overlay Improvements, in the amount of $29,032.24. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) The City Council hereby authorizes final payment to North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota for Improvement Project #25-07, 2025 Neighborhood Pavement Overlay Improvements in the amount of $29,032.24. 2) The City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3) The total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payments of bills for the date of January 13, 2026. 4) The City of Ramsey Finance Depailinent will be provided a signed copy of this resolution.
