Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #26-018 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING MINNESOTA HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL GRANT <br />AGREEMENT AND CONTRACTURAL SERVICES BY LEO A DALY FOR THE <br />COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS FOR HISTORIC TOWN <br />HALL/DISTRICT NO. 28 SCHOOL HOUSE RENOVATIONS <br />WHEREAS, The City of Ramsey received a grant from the Minnesota Historical Society in <br />the amount of $39,500.00: <br />WHEREAS, the grant monies are for the design and completion of construction documents <br />for the following scope of work: <br />1. Design and document a concrete path and ADA ramp to the front door; and <br />2. Design and document heating and air conditioner installation; and <br />3. Design and document an ADA historic period bathroom; and <br />4. Assessment of the existing floor beam bearing. <br />WHEREAS, three (3) bids were obtained for the completion of said work; and <br />WHEREAS, Leo A Daly submitted a proposal that guarantee's the completion of said work <br />at a cost no greater than the grant amount of $39,500.00; and <br />WHEREAS, Leo A Daly is awarded the contract to complete the scope of said work; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed the request at their meeting on January 13, 2026. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby grants approval of the Minnesota Historical and Cultural <br />Heritage Grant Agreement in the amount of $39,500.00 with the following conditions: <br />a. Leo A Daly enters into a Contract Agreement with the City for the completion of design <br />and preparation of construction documents in the amount not to exceed $39,500.00. <br />b. The Mayor and City Administrator are authorized to sign the Grant Agreement and <br />Contract Agreement. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Stewart, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Heineman <br />Councilmember Peters <br />Councilmember Stewart <br />
