I had (19 years old) go into the store and attempt to make a tobacco purchase. came out of the store with a tin of Copenhagen Wintergreen Long Cut, which he had purchased for $10.69 at 12:12 hours. stated that the male who sold the product to him was an older male. stated he asked the male for the Copenhagen. The male grabbed the product and asked for his card. stated he asked to clarify if the male was asking for his driver's license, and the male said, yes, that too. stated he gave the male his driver's license, the male looked at it, and then sold the product to I went into the store and spoke with the male. I identified him via MN driver's license as David Williams. I advised David of the tobacco violation. David told me that he had done the math and said his driver's license stated 2006. I explained to David that only made him 19 years old. David printed me a copy of the transaction receipt and I gave him back the change. I then retook custody of the $20 bill had used to purchase the Copenhagen. I educated David about the vertical under-21 driver's license vs the standard horizontal license.
