<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE #2006-12-_ <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 2 OF THE HOME RULE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY. THIS AMENDMENT RELATES GENERALLY TO THE FORM OF <br />GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY <br /> <br />THE CITY OF RAMSEY ORDAINS. <br /> <br />SECTION 1. AUTHORITY: <br /> <br />This Ordinance is enacted pursuant to Minnesota Statutes g41O.12, Subd. 7. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENT. <br /> <br />A. Subsection 2.1 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Ramsey is hereby amended to <br />provide as written below: <br /> <br />CHAPTER 2 <br />FORM OF GOVERNMENT <br /> <br />Section 2.1 Form of Government. The form of go'/ernment established by this <br />charter is the "Mayor Council Plan" us defined by current Minnesota State Statutes. <br />Except as otherwise provided by state statutes or this charter, all powers of the city are <br />vested in the city council. The form of l!overnment established by this charter is the <br />"Council-Manal!er Plan" as defined by Minnesota State Statutes. Except as <br />otherwise provided by law or this charter. all powers of the city are vested in the <br />city council. The city manal!er shall be the head of the administrative branch of the <br />city l!overnment and shall be responsible to the council for the proper <br />administration of all citvaffairs. <br /> <br />2.1.1 The effective date of Section 2.1 shall be Januarv 1. 2011. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. EF FECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />This Ordinance shall become effective 90 days after its passage and publication subject <br />to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes g41 0.12, Subd. 7. <br /> <br />-193- <br />
