The Council also reviewed the proposal at the <br />November 14, 2006 regular meeting and requested additional revisions. The revised elevations <br />are discussed as part of the preliminary plat and site plan case. <br /> <br />This case was before the City Council on December 28,2006, but was tabled at the request of the <br />applicant. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff originally recommended approval of the request for Comprehensive Plan Amendment, <br />based on Staff's interpretation of the criteria listed in the Interim Policy, and the appropriateness <br />of using twinhomes as a buffer between existing businesses and single-family homes. The <br />Planning Commission considered the request for Comprehensive Plan Amendment at their <br />September 7, 2006 meeting and recommended denial, due to the lack of a compelling reason to <br />amend the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt Resolution #07-01-_ approving the request and authorizing staff to submit the <br />Comprehensive Plan Amendmept to Metropolitan Council, contingent on approval of the request <br />for Zoning Amendment, preliminary plat approval, and preliminary site plan approval. <br /> <br />-or- <br /> <br />Motion to deny the request for Comprehensive Plan Amendment based on findings of fact. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br />Comm unity Development Director <br />Asst.
