The Planning Commission reviewed the sketch
plan at their August 3, 2006 meeting. The City Council has reviewed the sketch plan at work
session twice. Council directed the applicant to remove the connection of Rivlyn Avenue to
Highway 10, and explore options for providing open space along the river frontage. The DNR
requested the units be pulled away from the back water. Several changes have been made to the
plan; the revised plan is included in the Commission's packet. Ms. Frolik indicated the revised
sketch plan shows 14 detached townhomes (eliminating the 1 single family lot) on a cul -de -sac.
Commissioner Van Scoy asked who will retain ownership of the outlot in the large open area.
Assistant Community Development Director Frolik replied the ownership would be up to the
developer; it could be private or public.
Commissioner Van Scoy asked if the City has a definition in place yet for detached townhomes.
Assistant Community Development Director Frolik responded in the affirmative.
2) Commission Input
Commissioner Brauer indicated the January Planning Commission meeting will include
information regarding the Ramsey Project.
ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Commissioner Hunt, seconded by Commissioner Van Scoy, to adjourn the meeting.
Motion Carried.
