Councilmember Pearson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #06-09-307 RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT TO SUNDBLAD CONSTRUCTION FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #06-31143RD LANE / SUNFISH LAKE BOULEVARD STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, on September 11, 2006, City Council approved plans and specifications for IF 06-31 and authorize the solicitation of bids for this project; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Improvement Project #06-31, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and WHEREAS, the following bids were received for Project 06-31 143rd Lane/Sunfish Lake Boulevard Storm Sewer Improvements: Bidder Sundblad Construction Dave Perkins Contracting Northdale Construction Nord Excavating New Look Contracting W.B. Miller Jay Bros., Inc. Landwehr Construction Kuechle Underground Amount of Bid $68,452.00 $79,096.00 $84,535.82 $92,622.50 $99,987.00 $100,642.01 $102,270.00 $108,882.40 $109,352.60 AND WHEREAS, Sundblad Construction is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Sundblad Construction in the name of the City of Ramsey for the 143rd Lane/Sunfish Lake Boulevard Storm Sewer Improvements in the amount of $68,452.00.
