<br />Councilmember Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-10-339 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHANGE ORDER FOR THE ADDITION OF WATER <br />AND SEPTIC SERVICES FOR THE NEW PARK SHELTER AT CENTRAL PARK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey Lions Club has generously donated $367,000 for a new Park <br />Shelter at Central Park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, adding water and septic service to the Shelter will aid the youth association <br />in concession sales, and greatly improve the quality of use of the Shelter and park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a quote was obtained for certain building improvements for plumbing, <br />electrical and fixtures for restroom facilities for $36,710; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an estimate has been prepared for the costs to purchase and install water <br />and septic conduit from the existing park building to new park Shelter of $7,700; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Lawful Gambling proceeds are collected by the City and held in a Fund for <br />the benefit of Ramsey resident's recreational improvements <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes a Change Order in the amount of <br />$36,710 for DNR Construction Services, and additionally appropriates $7,700 for certain <br />plumbing, electrical, fixtures, and conduits, to provide restroom and related facilities for <br />the new Park Shelter at Central Park, with the $44,410 in funding from the Lawful <br />Gambling Fund. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Olson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Counci1member Strommen <br /> <br />And the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />And the following abstained: <br /> <br />Resolution #06-10-339 <br />Page 1 of2 <br />
