<br />Board Member Sibilski stated that the tree sale could be held on another date. <br /> <br />Board Member Bentz stated that potentially Coburns parking lot could be used for a tree <br />sale. <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon questioned how it would be possible to get the vendors <br />plus the crowd. <br /> <br />Chairperson McDilda stated that there will be cars in the parking ramp for the OST so it <br />won't be available for the EXPO. <br /> <br />Board Member Olds asked ifthe tree sale could be held at Public Works. <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon stated that there won't be a crowd and the vendors come <br />because there's a crowd. <br /> <br />Coordinator Anderson concurred with Board Member Sibilski's suggestion of holding a <br />tree sale on an alternate date. <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon stated the last weekend of April would be the best date. <br /> <br />Coordinator Anderson stated that would conflict with the ACD tree sale and the <br />following weekend would be pushing toward opening fishing and Mother's Day. <br /> <br />Chairperson McDilda suggested that the EPB maintain some flexibility. <br /> <br />Board Member Max stated that he would like to see a forum on the environment to get <br />some ideas about what the EPB should be doing as a board and bringing in speakers. <br /> <br />Coordinator Anderson stated that considering a referendum may not be a bad idea but <br />the work plan should reflect that the Board would research how other communities went <br />about getting to the point of having an open space referendum question. <br /> <br />Board Member Sibilski suggested forming a subcommittee to address looking at what <br />other cities did and what was specific in it-what they did prior to a referendum on the <br />ballot as far as citizen input. <br /> <br />Chairperson McDilda stated that some of the conversation has already been on the <br />council work sessions. <br /> <br />Board Member Sibilski expressed amazement at the expected amount of money cities <br />would be able to receive, grants from the federal government, and the ability to go obtain <br />matching funds. <br /> <br />Coordinator Anderson stated that when utilizing cash as opposed to in-kind donations, it <br />increases the ability to secure grant funds. <br /> <br />Environmental Policy Board!
