<br />CASE # I <br /> <br />EXTENSION OF RURAL DEVELOPING INTERIM ORDINANCE; <br />CASE OF CITY OF RAMSEY <br />By: Patrick Trudgeon, AICP, Community Development Director <br />Amy Geisler, AICP, Associate Planner <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On April ll, 2006 the City Council adopted a 9-month moratorium on subdivision and platting <br />within the R-1: Rural Developing District. The moratorium is effective from May 15, 2006 <br />through February 15, 2007. The purpose of the moratorium is to provide time for the Planning <br />Commission and City Council to consider revisions to the cluster development standards in the <br />R-l District. Staff will be bringing proposed revisions to the City Council at the January 23,2007 <br />Council meeting. <br /> <br />The following items are enclosed for your information: <br /> <br />a) Moratorium map exhibit <br />b) City Council meeting minutes dated April 11, 2006 <br />c) Proposed interim ordinance <br /> <br />Notification: <br /> <br />A public hearing is not required to adopt an interim ordinance. <br /> <br />Funding: <br /> <br />No funding required. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />The City Council introduced an ordinance to extend the moratorium an additional 3 months at <br />the January 9, 2007 Council meeting. The ordinance is now eligible for adoption. If adopted, the <br />ordinance would extend the development moratorium in the Rural Developing Area until May <br />15,2007. <br />
