Title: Adopt Resolution 26-046 Approving Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Water Crossing License No. UWAT014269 Purpose/Background: Purpose: The purpose of this case is to approve Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MnDNR) Water Crossing License No. UWAT014269 permitting the Contractor for the Trott Brook Crossing 3rd Addition residential development to directionally drill a 12-inch diameter municipal trunk watermain under Trott Brook, and permitting the city to operate and maintain said trunk watermain for a period of 50-years, the life of the agreement. Background: Attached is a copy of MnDNR Water Crossing License No. UWAT014269, as well as the supporting maps and plans. Also, attached is a copy of the payment confirmation for the license application fee staff was required to pay last summer to allow the DNR to prepare the attached license for execution. Funding Source: Besides the original application fee of $2,250, a license administration fee of $237 is required, all of which were/will be paid through the Water Fund. Recommendation: Staff recommends adopting Resolution #26-046 approving MnDNR Water Crossing License No. UWAT014269 due to the benefits the city will receive from extending its municipal water supply system further north along CSAH 5/Nowthen Boulevard to provide a looped water supply system for the Trott Brook Crossing residential development, and to allow for new municipal water supply system users in the future.
