Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Police Chief James Way <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Jo Ann Olsen, LSA Design <br />Jon Olson, Anoka County <br />John Harper, Metropolitan Council <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:55 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Consider Rate Structure for Ramsey Star Express <br /> <br />Public Works Director Olson reviewed that Council recently discussed the fare rate structure for <br />the Ramsey Star Express, and whether to select a fare rate of $2.75 or $4.50. There was <br />significant discussion about why a fare in between these rates could not be selected. John Harper <br />with the Metropolitan Council is present to explain the rate structure and electronic pass cards. <br /> <br />Mr. John Harper, Metropolitan Council, provided an explanation regarding fare collection as it <br />relates to the Metropolitan Council regional seryice, and the relationship with the Northstar <br /> <br />City Council Work Session / November 14, 2006 <br />Page 1 of5 <br /> <br />-23- <br />
