<br />Councilmember Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-02-052 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING 2006 AFSCME LABOR AGREEMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City and AFSCME have been negotiating the terms of a one year labor <br />agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City and AFSCME have reached a tentative agreement. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to do the following: <br /> <br />. Wages: <br /> <br />2006 - 3% plus applicable step increases <br /> <br />. Insurance: <br /> <br />2006: Single: $426.50 <br /> <br />Family: $665.00 <br /> <br />. Holidays: <br /> <br />Holidays <br /> <br />. Sick Leavef <br />Severance <br /> <br />Additional four hour floater <br /> <br />. Calculating <br />OTfSick/ <br />Vacation <br />Accruals <br /> <br />For purposes of calculating overtime, sick leave, and Vacation <br />leave, an employee using paid holidays, vacation leave, or sick <br />leave, is considered to be working. <br /> <br />. Uniforms <br />Allowance: <br /> <br />Public Works Maintenance Workers, Engineering Technicians and <br />Building Inspectors may submit an original receipt to the <br />EMPLOYER for a one time reimbursement once every year for <br />the purchase of work boots for the cost of the boots for $100, <br />whichever is less. <br /> <br />. Duration: <br /> <br />1 year <br /> <br />. Memorandum of <br />Understanding <br /> <br />The Labor Management Committee will be used as a vehicle to <br />discuss plan design options for health insurance plans. <br /> <br />The Labor Management Committee will provide input regarding <br />the organizational and classification and compensation studies. <br />The organizational studies will be completed in 2006, pending <br />City Council approval. <br /> <br />The Bureau of Mediation Services will be utilized to facilitate the <br />labor management meetings, as needed. <br />
