Councilmember Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #06-02-052 RESOLUTION APPROVING 2006 AFSCME LABOR AGREEMENT WHEREAS, the City and AFSCME have been negotiating the terms of a one year labor agreement; and WHEREAS, the City and AFSCME have reached a tentative agreement. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: . Wages: 2006 - 3% plus applicable step increases . Insurance: 2006: Single: $426.50 Family: $665.00 . Holidays: Holidays . Sick Leavef Severance Additional four hour floater . Calculating OTfSick/ Vacation Accruals For purposes of calculating overtime, sick leave, and Vacation leave, an employee using paid holidays, vacation leave, or sick leave, is considered to be working. . Uniforms Allowance: Public Works Maintenance Workers, Engineering Technicians and Building Inspectors may submit an original receipt to the EMPLOYER for a one time reimbursement once every year for the purchase of work boots for the cost of the boots for $100, whichever is less. . Duration: 1 year . Memorandum of Understanding The Labor Management Committee will be used as a vehicle to discuss plan design options for health insurance plans. The Labor Management Committee will provide input regarding the organizational and classification and compensation studies. The organizational studies will be completed in 2006, pending City Council approval. The Bureau of Mediation Services will be utilized to facilitate the labor management meetings, as needed.
