Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #26-054 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PROPOSALS FOR 2026 GEOTECHNICAL AND <br />CONSTRUCTION TESTING SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, all improvements installed in the city, which are to become publicly owned and <br />maintained, are to be inspected and tested by a city approved geotechnical firm; and <br />WHEREAS, request for proposals were submitted to four (4) firms for the purpose of obtaining <br />quotes for completing the proposed geotechnical and construction testing services; and <br />WHEREAS, city staff rated the proposals for selection based on key personal, experience, costs, <br />accessibility, sample work plan, and references; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposals received are tabulated below; and <br />Firm Average Score (1-100) <br />American Engineering Testing 96.73 <br />Braun Intertec 96.1 <br />Haugo Geotechnical Services 69.75 <br />Independent Testing Technologies, Inc. 69.3 <br />WHEREAS, the proposal of American Engineering Testing for said services in accordance with <br />the prepared proposal was found to be the highest rated and their proposal shall be and hereby is accepted. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) The Mayor and City Administrator are herby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br />American Engineering Testing for said geotechnical and construction testing services for and on <br />behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 24' <br />
