5.07: Consider Recommending City Council Approval of Plans and Specifications and <br />Authorizing Advertisements for Bids for 2026 Pavement Rejuvenation <br />Improvements, Improvement Project #26-10 <br />Assistant City Engineer Feriancek reviewed the staff report and recommended City Council <br />approval of plans and specifications and authorization of advertisements for bids for 2026 <br />Pavement Rejuvenation Improvements, Improvement Project #26-10. <br />Motion by Councilmember Olson, seconded by Councilmember Specht, to recommend City <br />Council approval of plans and specifications and authorize advertisements for bids for 2026 <br />Pavement Rejuvenation Improvements, Improvement Project #26-10. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Riley and Councilmembers Olson and Specht. Voting <br />No: None. <br />6. COMMITTEE / STAFF INPUT <br />6.01: Receive Updates on Improvement Projects, Studies, and Items of Interest <br />City Engineer/Public Works Director Westby provided an update on current and proposed City, <br />County, and MnDOT improvement projects and studies, and on other items of interest to the <br />Committee. More detailed information was provided on the Water Treatment Plant and the plan <br />to bring the facility online once ready. He confirmed that there should be no noticeable change in <br />water pressure for residents. <br />Chairperson Riley noted grant funds have been awarded to Elk River for Highway 10 planning <br />purposes and asked staff to present more information on this at the next Public Works Committee <br />meeting. <br />City Engineer/Public Works Director Westby commented that he had not received information on <br />that as of yet, but would follow up. He estimated that Elk River is at least three or four years away <br />from starting any Highway 10 improvements. <br />6.02: Review Future Topics Calendar <br />Noted. <br />7.
