Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #26-066 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 2026 CRACK SEAL <br />IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #26-09 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey can most cost-effectively maximize the life of the bituminous <br />pavement on public streets by sealing cracks on an annual basis; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey adopted budget for 2026 includes $650,000.00 for street <br />maintenance contracted services, including to crack seal the bituminous pavement on numerous public <br />street segments in support of the City's Pavement Management Program; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #26-030, adopted January 27, 2026, the <br />City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer and authorized <br />advertisement for bids for the same improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Anoka Union Herald on Friday January 30 and Friday <br />February 6, 2026; and <br />WHEREAS, seven (7) bids were received, opened and tabulated on March 3, 2026, and the <br />following bids were found to comply with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids; <br />and <br />Contractor Total Bid <br />MP Asphalt Maintenance $149,478.00 <br />FlowSeal Surface Maintenance $162,575.31 <br />Sealpros $175,476.00 <br />Northwest Asphalt Maintenance $191,150.02 <br />Allied Blacktop Company $199,949.80 <br />Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp. $214,055.70 <br />Fahmer Asphalt Sealers, LLC $222,745.44 <br />WHEREAS, the bid of MP Asphalt Maintenance in the amount of $149,478.00 for the total bid <br />for construction of the improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and <br />advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be and hereby is accepted. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br />said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />
