Councilmember Peters introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #26-064 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE IMPROVING THE IMAGE OF RAMSEY ALONG THE <br />HIGHWAY 10 CORRIDOR POLICY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the recent reconstruction of Highway 10 was a significant investment in the <br />community to improve safety, traffic flow, and aesthetics; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council’s strategic goal of improving the image of the community <br />along the Highway 10 corridor requires proactive work with all the various businesses and property <br />owner to achieve this goal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City’s Code Enforcement program generally responds only to complaints <br />received; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the policy describes the process, procedures, rights, and responsibilities of a <br />coordinated systematic proactive corridor-wide inspections program that involves city staff, <br />Ramsey businesses, and property owners; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to maintain a balance of aesthetics and ensuring <br />minimum property maintenance standards for its businesses, residents, and visitors; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City will support State Laws regarding the rights and responsibilities of <br />both businesses and property owners. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, that the Improving the Image of <br />Ramsey Along the Highway 10 Corridor Policy, attached to this resolution, is here by adopted and <br />will be made publicly accessible. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Riley, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Heineman <br /> Councilmember Peters <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Olson <br /> Councilmember Buscher <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> Councilmember Stewart <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br />
