ORDINANCE #26-05 <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF <br />MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 106 (ZONING CODE) <br /> <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey Ordains: <br /> <br />Underlined text is inserted into City Code. <br />Strikethrough text is deleted from City Code. <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 1. AUTHORITY <br /> <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the City of <br />Ramsey. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 106 (ZONING CODE). <br /> <br />The following portion of Chapter 106, Article IV (Residential Districts), is amended as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 106-430. – Bulk Standards <br /> <br />(b) Maximum setback. All principal structures on lots zoned R-1A, R-1B, and R-1C shall be <br />constructed no greater than ten feet more than the minimum setback for the respective districts, <br />except where adjacent, structures existing as of July 1, 2002, existing principal structures have a <br />different setback from that required herein, the front yard setback shall conform to the prevailing <br />setback of adjacent structures. If adjacent structures have different setbacks from one another, <br />the minimum front yard setback shall be the average of the two adjacent structures. <br /> <br />(1) Exception: Riparian lots within the Scenic River Protection Overlay District, <br />Mississippi River Corridor Critical Area Overlay District, and the Shoreland Overlay <br />District are not subject to the maximum front yard setback requirement. <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE <br />This ordinance becomes effective upon publication, subject to City Charter Section 5.07. <br /> <br />PASSED by the City Council of the City of Ramsey, Minnesota the _____ day of _____, 2026. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor
