Citizen initiatives <br /> <br />The Foundation's initial focus will begin with projects related to item 2 "General welfare <br />and improvement". The Foundation's goal is to build momentum in that core and build <br />out from that nexus. <br /> <br />Potential Project areas for Consideration <br /> <br />. Public Infrastructure (collaborate with other civic organizations and the City on <br />items for which City tax funds are not available and conflict is not an issue) <br /> <br />· Memorials <br /> <br />· Gardens / beautification projects <br /> <br />· Park amenities <br /> <br />. Celebrations (consider holidays, community parties) <br /> <br />. Youth Community Education (collaborate with other organizations, the community <br />colleges and schools to provide; consider financial/business, cultural, health, safety, <br />supportive/esteem) <br /> <br />. Youth Activities/Clubs (seed monies) <br /> <br />. Adult Community Education (collaborate with other organizations, the community <br />colleges and schools to provide; consider financial/business, cultural, health, safety, <br />supportive/esteem) <br /> <br />. Loudi Tours (consider to foster cultural connectivity, friendship bonding, commuAity <br />and business opportunities) <br /> <br />. City Promotion (consider all aspects of communication/promotion of the benefits of <br />life in Ramsey and promotion of community cohesion; work in tandem with the City) <br /> <br />Problem the Foundation's Service Addresses <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey Foundation, Inc. will fill a void in service or infrastructure that the <br />City, civic and nonprofit community organizations, community education, and others are <br />unable to provide. <br /> <br />The Foundation's focus is on the economic development of the City of Ramsey and to <br />support agendas for the City when tax dollars are not available is a needed function. A <br />goal of such action is to lessen the burden On the City of Ramsey and to aid their <br />economic development plans for the good of the community. <br />
