City Engineer/Public Works Director Westby reviewed the staff report and recommended City <br />Council approval of MnDOT Limited Use Permit (LUP) 40200-0113. <br />Motion by Councilmember Specht, seconded by Councilmember Peters, to recommend City <br />Council approval of MnDOT Limited Use Permit 40200-0113. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Riley, Councilmembers Specht and Peters. Voting No: <br />None. <br />6. COMMITTEE / STAFF INPUT <br />6.01: Receive Updates on Improvement Projects, Studies, and Items of Interest <br />City Engineer/Public Works Director Westby provided an update on current and proposed City, <br />County, and MnDOT improvement projects and studies, and on other items of interest to the <br />Committee. <br />6.02: Review Future Topics Calendar <br />Chairperson Riley suggested an item be added to a future agenda to provide an update on the <br />various redundancy and safety features built into the new Water Treatment Plant to ensure the <br />treated water will remain safe to drink at all times. <br />City Engineer/Public Works Director Westby confirmed that it could be done and anticipated it <br />would not be for a few months, as staff are busy commissioning the Water Treatment Plant. <br />Chairperson Riley stated that he would like additional information on painting the water tower at <br />Dysprosium Street and Nowthen Boulevard and when that is slated to occur. <br />7.
