<br />The department purchased new scheduling software that now tracks hours worked by <br />officers along with time off and training hours. This had previously been done by hand <br />and was very time consuming and in some cases inaccurate. <br /> <br />The Police Department participated in the Safe & Sober program again in 2006. Officers <br />logged in over 160 hours in 2006. <br /> <br />The department purchased and put three digital video cameras into squads in 2006. This <br />is the first time cameras have been in squads in Ramsey. The cameras have been useful <br />in verifying officer's observations while on patrol. <br /> <br />The City replaced three warning sirens in 2006. <br /> <br />The Police Department responded to 12,323 incidents in 2006.
