<br />Goal No.2: Create and protect an interconnected system of athletic areas, <br />parks, trails, and green spaces throughout the city. <br /> <br />Specific Performance Focus Points to be addressed during <br />2007-2008: .' <br /> <br />(1) Open space policies-including, complete Natural Resources <br />Inventory, Update and Adopt Greenways Plan, and <br />Complete and Adopt Master Trail Plan. <br />(2) Recreational programs andfacilities: (moved to Park CIP <br />Plan as necessary) <br />. Finish Elmcrest Park <br />. Lions Park building <br />. Exploring next community park <br />. Obtaining efrSements along Trott Brook (LCMR) <br />. Ensuring that ordinances and policies are in place to <br />support achievement of this goal <br />(3) Seek out alliances and partnerships with non-profit and <br />governmental agencies to assist in securing funding and <br />other resources that will assist in implementing the final <br />plan. <br />(4) Work with Ramsey Youth Athletic Association (RYAA) to <br />plan for the necessary athletic fields and facilities that will <br />accommodate the growing community <br /> <br />Note: The participants directed that the "current action <br />steps" identified for this goal during the 2004 City <br />Leadership Workshop be incorporated into the performance <br />objectives that will be developed in support of the <br />attainment of this goal.
