Goal No.2: Create and protect an interconnected system of athletic areas, parks, trails, and green spaces throughout the city. Specific Performance Focus Points to be addressed during 2007-2008: .' (1) Open space policies-including, complete Natural Resources Inventory, Update and Adopt Greenways Plan, and Complete and Adopt Master Trail Plan. (2) Recreational programs andfacilities: (moved to Park CIP Plan as necessary) . Finish Elmcrest Park . Lions Park building . Exploring next community park . Obtaining efrSements along Trott Brook (LCMR) . Ensuring that ordinances and policies are in place to support achievement of this goal (3) Seek out alliances and partnerships with non-profit and governmental agencies to assist in securing funding and other resources that will assist in implementing the final plan. (4) Work with Ramsey Youth Athletic Association (RYAA) to plan for the necessary athletic fields and facilities that will accommodate the growing community Note: The participants directed that the "current action steps" identified for this goal during the 2004 City Leadership Workshop be incorporated into the performance objectives that will be developed in support of the attainment of this goal.
