Councilmember Jeffrey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 07 -01 -042 <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0789 TO REZONE CERTAIN <br />PROPERTY FROM R -1 RESIDENTIAL AND E -2 EMPLOYMENT TO PUBLIC -QUASI <br />PUBLIC <br />WHEREAS, the City or Ramsey has made application to rezone certain properties in <br />accordance with City Code; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. That the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.03 of <br />the City Code on January 4, 2007 and said public hearing was properly advertised, and the <br />minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated by reference. <br />2. That the properties proposed to be rezoned are legally described as follows: <br />• Lot 1, Block 1, Gateway North Industrial Park <br />The East 466 feet of the North 466 feet of the Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of <br />Section 20, Township 32, Range 25, except the road, subject to easements of record. <br />3. That the total area of the properties to be rezoned is 5 acres (fire station) and . 3 acres (public <br />works facility). <br />4. That the proposed rezoning will bring the parcels into conformance with the <br />Comprehensive Plan and the Official Zoning Map. <br />5. That the existing uses are public in nature, and are owned by the City. <br />6. That it is reasonable to categorize these two properties as public -quasi public, rather than <br />R -1 Residential and E -2 Employment. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Elvig, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Gamec <br />—129— <br />
