CITY NEWSLETTER
STORM DRAINAGE UTILITY FAQ

Early this year, the City of Ramsey passed an ordinance
creating a storm water utility. Every developed property within the
City will receive a quarterly charge for the handling of storm water.
The revenue generated from this utility will be utilized to finance a
wide array of storm water related activities including cleaning
culverts, catch basins and sedimentation ponds, as well as construction
proj ects to correct or repair existing drainage problems. This utility
will not be used to finance storm water projects for new developments.
Below are some frequently asked questions regarding the storm water
utility.

Q.
