The Annual Election of Board Members will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. in the recreational building at Central Park, located at 161st Avenue and Armstrong Blvd. All positions are open for election. Many positions will be vacant. We are in great need of volunteers to fill these positions. Please consider becoming a member of the RYAA Board and attend this most important meeting. Registrations for the 2001 Soccer and Softball Season will be held on the following dates: Thursday, February 8 Saturday, February 10 Monday, February 12 Tuesday, February 13 Tuesday, February 20 MEE Wednesday, February 21 Friday, February 23 Saturday, February 24 Monday, February 26 Wednesday, February 28 Final Registration Date — NO Exceptions! - Saturday, March 3 All registrations will be held in the recreational building at Central Park. Sign -up times will be from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for the weeknight registrations, and 10:00 a.m. — 12 noon for the Saturday registrations. New to the softball program this year will be "Coed Softball" for U8 only! AAA RYAA WINTER SOCCER CLINICS The British are coming! The British are coming! RYAA is hosting their second annual British Soccer Camp in conjunction with Challenger Sports' British Soccer Division. Bring your son or daughter out to learn soccer from British Trainers! The dates of the camp will be June 11th through June 15th, 2001. Fees will be $62, $87 and $137, depending on which session you attend. $5 discount if you register during RYAA spring registration in February and March. RYAA Traveling Soccer News RYAA will again be offering traveling soccer for youth ages 9 to 14. We are making a concentrated effort to form girls' teams at all age groups, especially in the U12 through U14 category, where there has been the most interest. Existing boys' teams at the U10, U 11, U12 and U13 age groups still have roster spots open. Fees will be $100 for the summer season, for all age groups. Coaches are also needed; advanced training through state certified teachers will be available for every coach. Soccer Referee Certification Clinics RYAA, Anoka Junior Soccer Association and North Metro Soccer Club will be teaming up this spring to offer referee certification clinics. The tentative dates for the clinics are March 24th and March 31st. A new half -day clinic is available for recreational soccer referees. Goalkeeper and Player Development Clinics RYAA will be offering player development clinics for all soccer players ages U6 and up, on April 23 and April 25th from 6 -9pm at central park. On April 30th and May 2nd RYAA will be offering goalkeeper clinics for ages U8 and up. 1 to 1 1 /2 hour sessions will cost $5.
