You are invited to attend a Public Forum and to give your comments on the City of Ramsey's Proposed Comprehensive Plan WHEN: June 21, 2001, 6:30 — 9:00 PM WHERE: Ramsey Fire Station II, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard The Public Forum gives you the opportunity to review the proposed Comprehensive Plan and discuss the details with City staff and Planning Commissioners. You are encouraged to give written comments regarding the proposed Comprehensive Plan which will be made part of the public record that will be reviewed by the City Council prior to a vote on the Compre- hensive Plan. This is an official public hearing in front of the Ramsey Planning Commission. Inside this mailing you will find an overview of the proposed Comprehensive Plan. You are encouraged to read all of the information before the public forum. If you are unable to attend the public forum, please feel free to submit your written comments to Patrick Trudgeon, City Planner, at City Hall or by email at ptrudgeon@ci.ramsey mn.us. What is the Comprehensive Plan and who is it for? The Comprehensive Plan is a tool to be used by many people and organizations with an interest in the Ramsey community It is for the people of Ramsey, the policy makers who represent them and the City Staff who support them. The Comprehen- sive Plan provides an analysis of the forces that have shaped Ramsey, sets out a vision for the community, contains goals that define the vision, and establishes public policies designed to help realize that vision. Although it focuses on the future physical development of the community, it also addresses the economic and social qualities of Ramsey. Finally, the plan lays out implementation strategies that best use the tax payers dollars to achieve the vital elements that makes Ramsey a safe, high quality, healthy place to live, work and play.
